Data Scientist

We are looking for a Data Scientist to analyze large amounts of data and build models to be applied in the financial sector.

Statement of duties
- Extract, clean and process raw data
- Extract structured/unstructured data from multiple sources and consolidate it into a workable format
- Turn raw data into valuable insights
- Interpret and analyze data from multiple sources to produce imaginative insights, predictions and models
- Develop new models to improve predictive capabilities
- Build different models and propose improvements for existing models
İdentify main predictor variables for certain figures
- Translate insights to impactful recommendations
- Present information using data visualization techniques

Responsibilities
- Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
- Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
- Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
- Present information using data visualization techniques
- Propose solutions and strategies to to improve models

Requirements

- Bachelors' / Masters' degree in quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics or Econometrics,Computer Science, Data Science, Physics or any related field;)

- Experience in data science

- Understanding of machine learning and operations research

- Knowledge of R, SQL and Python; familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an asset

- Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau)

- Excellent communication and presentation skills
