Investment Analyst

Role Synopsis:

The Investment Analyst is responsible for providing investment, financial reporting and analytical support for the management of a diverse investment portfolio, including hotels, office spaces, and residential properties. This role involves creating financial models for both individual assets and entire portfolios, as well as gathering and analyzing internal and external data to inform investment decisions. The analyst will contribute to presentations, reports, and other key documents that assist in strategic decision-making within the real estate investment team.

Key Accountabilities:

• Support the due diligence process for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all relevant information is accurately compiled and analyzed.
• Act as a liaison between various departments within the real estate, coordinating the collection and organization of data pertinent to investment and business evaluations.
• Conduct in-depth financial and business analysis and prepare detailed written reports of findings.
• Administer regular and ad-hoc financial analyses, preparing comprehensive reports as required.
• Assist in the development of internal and external presentations to communicate key investment insights.
• Create, update, and modify financial models to assess new development and investment opportunities.
• Track and evaluate market trends across commercial, residential, and hospitality real estate sectors, generating reports to inform decision-making.
• Analyze marketing materials and third-party research to extract relevant data.
• Evaluate new acquisition and development opportunities, providing financial analysis of each transaction's viability, including various capital and financing structures.
• Undertake other tasks and duties as assigned by the line manager, including verbal and written responsibilities.

Desired background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Real Estate, Economics, or in a related field, Master’s degree is a plus
• Prior experience (2+ years) in Financial Modelling, Real Estate, Audit is required
• Familiarity with real estate and hospitality market in Azerbaijan or in the region (e.g., Turkiye, Georgia, Russia, CIS, Middle East) with a good understanding of macro trends and historical perspective

Required skills:

• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of real estate valuation and financial modelling
• Ability to conduct solid market research, collect, validate and audit gathered data
• Ability to work independently while prioritizing projects to ensure timely deliverables
• Good organizational skills with the ability to efficiently manage time and workload
• High proficiency with advanced use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Business fluency in English and Azerbaijani are required, Russian language skills are a plus
