What is ABAP?

ABAP is a high level programming language created by SAP that helps large corporations to customize the SAP ERP. ABAP can help customize workflows for financial functions, materials management, asset management, and all other modules of SAP. The ABAP full form in SAP is Advanced Business Application.

Job duties

• Under direct supervision, to modify applications programs from detailed specifications.
• Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project.
• Transform business function requirements into technical program specs to code, test and debug programs.
• Develop, code, document and execute unit tests, systems, integration and acceptance tests and testing tools for functions of high complexity.
• Ensure integration system activities including monitoring the technical architecture (particularly scalability, availability and archiving) meet all SLA's.
• Undertake performance tuning activities for SAP integration activities.
• To be responsible for support and maintenance of applications as assigned and interfaces partnering with clients to ensure quality services
• Troubleshoot and resolve system related production issues
• Participate on project teams producing quality and timely deliverables
• Build and leverage metrics, incident reports, availability reporting and trends to improve system functionality
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership team

Qualifications

• Higher education in Computer science or related field
• PL / SQL knowledge is mandatory
• Javascript knowledge is preferred
• Technical level of English language proficiency
• Knowledge of software development standards and best practice approaches
• Exposure to Agile development methodology
• Ability to prioritize and manage work
• Ability to interact with internal and external team members
